Diag-Startium, partner for automotive workshops.

With its large digital control panel, DIAG-STARTIUM  60-24 are the perfect tools for automotive workshops. Indeed, in addition to all the functions within STARTIUM the chargers-starters DIAG-STARTIUM also provide powerful batterry support ensureing a constant voltage during diagnostics which protect the vehicle electronics and guarantee a fully-charged battery when the vehicle leavs the workshop.

Stabilized power supply

During diagnostics and internal vehicle software updates, DIAG-STARTIUM 60-12 and 60-24 ensure the vehicle power supply up to 60A. Voltage can be adjusted (DIAG+) (on 12V systems only) to meet manufacturer specifications.

Connect without risk

Parts such as airbags, engine management modules etc are very sensitive and must be protected against peak voltage when charging the battery. Historically, the battery needed to be disconnected from from the on-board circuitry. STARTIUM’s and DIAG STARTIUM’s enable the charging of the battery directly on the vehicle with no risk of damaging the electronics.

100% Duty cycle

On complex systemes, 60A could be necessary for more than 90 minutes for a diagnosis. DIAG-STARTIUM’s provide 60A constantly without activating the thermal protection. of the product. This enables long duration programming or re-flashing to be carried out without risk of system failure.

Digital display

In automotive workshops, displaying voltage values has to be accurate and fast. The STARTIUM range displays the voltage on a digital display, more accurate than an analog dial.

  • Charge all battery types: Select the charging curve for the battery type - Liquid, Gel, AGM - or if this is not known select the Universal Mode which will ensure a safe change for any of these battery types
  • Charge to 100% safely: The advanced multi-stage charger will charge to 100% and does not require supervision or the battery to be removed from the vehicle. At the end of the charge the charger enters a float mode to maintain the battery at 100%.
  • Intelligent: This device permanently analyses the health of the battery and automatically adjusts the output voltage. The voltage and the percentage of charge are displayed in real time on the digital screen.
  • Protection of on-board electronics: No need to disconnect the battery from the vehicle. No risk of sparks, there is no voltage to the clamps when they are not connected to a battery.
  • Deep Discharge: The DIAG-STARTIUM can charge batteries discharged to as low as 1V. This is not possible if the battery is damaged.
  • TIMER: Function which permits safe charging when charging deeply discharge batteries (< 1V).
  • SOS RECOVERY: Enables the recovery of sulphated batteries.
  • Automatic start: A high power starter with advanced protection for vehicle electronics. It will automatically start sending current to the battery when the starter function of the car is being activated. The remote control is not required anymore.
  • Smart start: The DIAG-STARTIUM will automatically detect damaged or badly sulphated batteries. In this event it will not deliver current in order to protect the vehicle electronics.
  • Battery support (12V only): DIAG-STARTIUM 60-24 provides up to 60A support during diagnostic work. Select the DIAG+ function to set the voltage (range 12-15V) to meet manufacturers requirements.
